    Do you mean the star nut or more scary do you mean a quil stem

    Not a clue as my bikes are all metal….

    I would not bother for a fork bung as it has minimal load on it

    I have on one all carbon fork.
    The inside of the steerer was so slippy that the 5Nm that they recomended so that the steerer didn’t split wasn’t enough to stop it from moving when tightening the headset.

    I would, it also acts as a barrier to prevent corrosion between the aluminium and the carbon.
