Just follow the instructions (they’re a bit vague so think before you act if that makes sense) but bear in mind that the hose is effectively vacuum sealed by the caliper so the oil can’t leak out of the hose so long as you’re careful and make sure you keep the lever flat and still and you should be right.
I’ve never owned disc brakes before and I managed to do mine without needing to bleed.

I did two deores on the same evening. One needed a bleed the other didn’t.
Watch out when you bolt back together that everything is pushed firmly together before you torque up.
Also remember ‘nut’ then olive.
I assume you have the hose end bit kit and yellow hose gripper block thingy.
I used a set of mole grips as a portable vice round the block.thingy while i tapped the end piece into the hose. Worked pretty well.Posted 5 years ago
