  • Shimano XT shift 2 gears up at same time

    The XT shifters on my 10spd allow me to shift two gears up (to the smaller rings) in one push. My 11 speed shifters (SL-M8000) only let you shift up one at a time although you can shift down two a a time. What gives? Have they changed the way this works or are there several versions of 11sp XT?

    The ‘up’ shifts both ways on the shifter. It’ll do multiple shifts if you are using your finger to pull that lever

    I just tried and it looks like I can do multiple shifts if I push that lever but only one if I pull it. Hadn’t spotted that. Tx
