Can anyone compare and contrast their experiences on these MTB shoes?

The xc9 sounds better from what I’ve read. shimano shoes always fit me the best so I’m going to move away from my giro xc shoes back to Shimano.

(I’ve seen the stw article too.)

    Thanks.

£100 difference in price would swing it to the XC7 for me unless your vying for the podium.

I own the XC7 and for me it’s a great XC trail shoe, it pairs well with Shimano pedals to offer a wide point of contact between the shoe and pedal body, not just the cleat.

Thanks I’ve seen the xc9 got a good price.

But will look at the 7.

Be aware that the Singletrack test is 6 years old and the current XC7 has two BOA fasteners, so there is even less difference between the two. I’m very happy with my XC7s which I use mainly for road and gravel.
