There are a couple of paths shown on the north side, on the old 1:50 000 os map, just wondering which is the best descent, somebody on here was raving about a good descent, awhile back, mule trail perhaps? any info really appreciated.

I’d recommend the (unmarked) path due west that drops down between Carn Ban Mor and Sgor Gaoith and cuts out the hike across Meall Buidhe.

I’ve contoured round the NE side of Meall Buidhe to pick up the descent NE (at the col before Geal Charn). Path on southside of valley was followed with some good riding though the contouring section was frustrating.
Others have ridden N from Sgoran Dubh Mor, bearing W to the zigzag descent off Creag Follais. Things get boggy (I’ve heard) once you reach the treeline; I picked up the LRT on the W side of the river to avoid that
