We’re a couple of miles outside of Hereford on the A4103 and have been passed by 15-20 unmarked vehicles with blues n twos on. A variety of vehicles from Merc Sprinters, Volvo estates, Merc SUVs, Porsche Cayennes.

Is that the polis or the Hereford boys out on a fairly significant call?

They probably lease the cars from a middle-newly created government body specifically created to manage and lease cars to said agencies. This body probably has a Chief Exec on £300,000 a year.

Either that or its a PFI-type set up with the cars costing 3times what they can buy them for from a dealers or borrow from exisiting forces

Could well have been one of the training convoys up to Scotland. Due to a lot of press about the use of Pen Y Fan and so many tourists standing around with cameras the special forces have started heading up to Scotland.

I was chatting to some out on Sealand ranges once and at DTE Swynnerton with them practising all sorts of things so they do train out of area but wouldn’t be responding to stuff.

But they’ll be using their training facilities and perhaps be training alongside the special forces as they oft work together
