    3.9m over 2 years

any money is good, but its pittance when its over 2 years compared to car road monies spent, and simple things like a council looking at a new Tram system 😉

plus most of it is for the tourist route upgrade along the great glen, what about grass routes commuting along either a busy A road or a dark untreated single track farm road as cycle lanes on direct A roads dont seem to exist much outside of inverness to get into the satellite major towns.

    new year rant over.

    an extra £3.9m

And then we get back to the argument about what sort of cycle provision we want. At the moment, we have a fantastic network of routes provided for cycling between all the major and satellite towns. They are tarmaced and maintained by the local councils with gritting carried out according to a priority system. They are called “roads”.

These non-trunk roads (and other cycle provisions) are the responsibility of the local council, not the Scottish Government.
