If you fancy a series then give Fringe a bash which I thought was very good and if nothing else is worth it for Walter seniors moments of comedy genius 😆

Why has no one said star wars yet? To be more specific, a new hope and empire strikes back.

Can’t think of anything else to add to this list! Pretty much everything I could think of’s on here.
If you don’t mind going a little off-piste into more fantasy stuff, then Dead Like Me, Pushing Daisies and Wonder Falls are all fantastic fun, just hugely enjoyable series.

I brought this and at first couldn’t work out if it was meant to be a cheesy camp piss-take or it was meant to be serious. And i’m still not sure.

The best are already up there on the list^^^, but Donnie Darko deserves a mention too.

Onzadog: that’s because Star Wars is rubbish. So are all the Matrix films.

My favorite ever film with spaceships is Forbidden Planet. Great 1950s dialogue, and an early appearance from Leslie Neilsen playing it super super straight.

Also from the Old Films Your Parents Liked pile: Logan’s Run.

Def get all the Battle Star Galactica series, that will keep you going for ages.

Also as above, Bladerunner, Moon, District 9.

The Star Trek films are sadly pretty bad, the series was awesome but just didn’t translate to big screen. The latest one quite good tho.

I liked the TNG films Nemesis, Insurrection and First Contact just wasn’t keen on the first one Generations.

It’s a shame there was never a Star Trek Voyager film, that’s the best Star Trek, good and dark.

You misspelled “worst” there. Though I agree, the lack of a film or two is disappointing.

It -should- have been the best, it had a lot going for it. But there were just too many twee plotlines and missteps. “Ooh, an alien killing machine, let’s see if it wants a cuddle.” Only Janeway could make friends with the Borg FFS.

If you want “good and dark” Star Trek, what you’re looking for there is Deep Space 9. It was pish for a couple of seasons whilst it found its feet, but once it got going it was head and shoulders the best show of the franchise. IMHO.
