  • Safe-ish, free parking for commute into Manchester?

Reading the “I might cycle to work” thread has inspired me. I currently work in MCR (near city centre) and I’m toying with the idea of throwing a bike in the car, parking on the outskirts and riding in.

Not sure where would be good to leave the car tho – any ideas? (I come in down the M602)

Just realised that some don’t have parking. Have a look at Station Info

Think I might just have a look around Hope Hospital way if that doesn’t work. Was hoping for some local knowledge

I wouldn’t imagine there’d be much around Hope hospital, or people visiting the hospital would park there and the hospital would lose out on the parking charges (which are actually not too bad to be fair)

Hope Hospital’s a nightmare for parking. There is loads of on-street parking between there and The Quays, though I’m not sure it would be described as “safe”.
