Sad news – RIP Messiah
I am lost for words right now, but I thought it appropriate I post something on here as Brian ‘messiah’ Goldsworthy was a regular poster, and I know quite a few of you met him over the years.
Brian passed away yesterday while on a solo ride around his local trails on the outskirts of Stonehaven. He was only 43.
I can’t think of anything else to say at the moment, my head is a complete mess, so I’ll just post a photo of Brian larking about on top of a hill. I’ve been looking back through my photo collections and I don’t think I’ve got any sensible photos of him. RIP Mr G.Posted 4 years agotownydcMember
“Rob – no he wasn’t ill as such but he’d been off the bike since January due to a problem he described as ‘muscular’. It appears it was more serious than that.”
Very sad news, being 44 myself and riding with others a year or 2 around my age, we always moan about aches and pains especially after a few hours on the trails but just put it down to being “not as young as we used to be”. Makes you think doesn’t it.Posted 4 years ago
Thoughts to his family.
Thanks for all the kind words. He was definitely one of life’s nice guys, a devoted husband and father, and a serious mountain bike addict. I think yesterday was his first ride on a Ragley Big Wig he recently built while waiting on his new Nicolai ION frame to arrive in April.Posted 4 years ago
