Eldest daughter now in Halls of residence at Manchester Uni.

Looking for curry house recommendations in the famous curry mile.

Not bothered as to restaurant / cafe style place as the food itself is the important aspect.

(I’m a pretty frequent visitor to Bradford curry houses, but don’t know what’s good in Rusholme)

    Thanks,
    Chris

It’s all a bit the same, tbh.
Nothing on the curry mile ime is a patch on the good stuff in Bradford.

Northern Quarter in the city centre has much nicer curry places and access to the shops, nice bars and the Craft Centre, which has handmade jewellery, arty shops and a nice coffee shop & is pretty much like crack cocaine for teenage girls.
A much nicer place to be.

I’d recommend Al Faisal on Thomas St or This ‘n’ That on Soap Street.
Both legends in their own lunchtime; cheap, delicious and also achingly trendy to the students and meeja types that now inhabit the area.

If you want posh & pricey the Northern Quarter Bar and Grill is nice, even just for a glass of wine.
The cocktail bar next door will destroy you mentally and physically too.

Easy access to The Angel Beer House & The Marble Arch pub, if you need to escape for a nice, quiet pint.

All the above are within 5 minutes walk, with tram access and are pretty much next to Victoria Station.
