When I was learning to play, we were always told that there was plenty of scope for getting physical within the rules – cheap shots were regarded as an indication of a failing of character. Mind you that was in the good old days when it was still legitimate to get someone out of the way at a ruck with a bit of enthusiastic ‘cleaning’!

I think you’ll find I’ve never said England are a great side in this tournament – their performances have been far from it. I was interested how the haterz were happily slagging off England, whilst missing the most cogent point: that it was actually Scotland who lost.
