For scotland – a throw of the toonbola too many.  Grigg and Jones did not work in the centre ( both 13s).  It all looked much better when Horne came on even tho we lost Russell.  Swinson – why on earth did he start instead of Big Ritchie?  Does he have incriminating pictures of Toonie?

Townsend is clearly still learning his trade ( he has made quite a few selection experiments / errors and this Scotland team is still developing but one difference over a year or two ago is they do grind out tough wins.

Just need Ireland to do us a favour now

Italy played pretty well.  This is the what happens when they don’t give away stupid tries in the first 10 minutes.

If I’m reading the table correctly- if Ireland win and Wales draw with France, Scotland come second with -27 pd

DD – how have they won 3?  By scoring tries – lots of them.  High risk high reward game paid off against England Italy  and France.  It backfired against Wales and Ireland just smothered us
