Witnessed a motorcycle, driver & pillion passenger go into a bus stop at incredible speed today.

Etc etc. Can’t get my head around the whole thing.

    The noise…

Edit: Can I find out if people are ok if its not in Mondays paper?

You poor thing, must have been shocking. Perhaps contact your GP Surgery for advice? Hopefully someone here may know where you can go for help.

If you need to talk through it with someone tonight, the Samaritans can assist: 08457 90 90 90.

I’m hoping that somebody on here can suggest what you can do. We do have firemen, Police, medics etc on here.

Drive safely as UK roads are bendy and narrow.

Most police and fire services have very good news feeds that cover this story of incident now.

Made a 999 call for it. Don’t know if I can talk about the incident on here but it’s as bad as it looks.

Saw the bike before, and after.

More the noise than the images.

Edit: Mrs.c is a good carer and I’m not in silver blanket shock but I have been lackadaisical with my own road safety of late and am having a whoosh moment.

You definitely need to speak to someone about it. Samaritans would be good start. They may put you in touch with someone rlse.

You need to allow your brain to process the whole experience, sights, sounds, smells.

It is totally normal to feel bad about seeing this.

    Cfiinmore,

it’ll spin through your head for awhile especially after seeing it. This is perfectly natural and normal response, you did right calling 999. Speak to friends or relatives about what happened and how it makes you feel, offload to someone, if it’s still causing you trouble ask your GP for counselling.

The hospital won’t tell you how the guy is unless you’re a relative, however the Police may give you limited information but again they may not.

Jamie I’ve deleted the pic as not sure it’ll help.

Talking about it will help. The police should be able to tell you the outcome, although not always straight away. There are a few things I’ve seen that just pop back into my head from time to time, even years afterwards, so I’m not sure that there’s much can be done about that, but talking to someone definitely helps process it.

Not finding out the outcome helps me. Retained firefighter riding our specialist RTC unit fairly often. I’m able to switch off knowing I done the best I could and whatever happens from there is not my fault.

I’ve seen the photos online and it looks terrible 🙁

Heard a couple of versions but 60mph seems the estimated speed though apparently the speedo was stuck at over 100.

Btw, should I have got a reference number for my statement?

I’ve given a couple of statements and never been given anything, but nothing as serious as this.

No – when you’re the victim of a crime you’ll get the incident number, but not as a witness to an incident. Not because you can’t be told, just that it’s rarely of any relevance to a witness, so it’s not routinely given out.

Pedestrian minor injuries but ok, two riders serious condition in hospital.

Police appealing for witnesses to contact them.

Thanks Rene, all updated here from various sources.

    Relieved to hear no fatalities.

I think I’ll be jumping everytime I hear a bike accelerate for the next wee while.

Thanks again to everyone for last nights support.
