We’re spending a week at Wells in Somerset and a week at Padstow in Cornwall during the first two weeks of August and wondered what riding there is nearby?

If u dont mind an hour drive over to taunton area, Triscombe is bloody good, was there today. Dont know about stuff super close to wells though.

If you’re in Wells, head a little North, start in the cheddder gorge and go over the mendips towards rowbarrow. There’s plenty of stuff on here if you look – put in “mendips” of “Rowbarrow” should do to start. Not a trail centre though!

You have quantocks and Dartmoor. Both been featured in singletrack mapped rides. Both fantastic days out.

Haldon forest just south of exeter is forestry commission land and there is a red graded loop there. Thats about as close to a trail center as you’ll get down south
