  • Routers/mesh wifi: parental controls and guest networks?

Currently have a bog standard ISP router. Works fine, but I want to be able to set up isolated-device guest networks for visitors and have some form of content blocking for the kids. It’d also be nice to have some malware protection built in.

It seems like the Linksys Velop and the TP Link Deco M5 should do what I want (Google WiFi appears, from some very brief research, to rely on Google accounts for filtering, which doesn’t suit my requirements).

Anyone got any experience with these, or any better ideas? Any other criteria I might not have thought to consider?

    Cheers 🙂
