Anyone know anything free that I can use to map routes out that I've done? Want to know how far and how much climbing etc? Would need to allow a fair degree of detail for MTB routes?

    Anyone help?

The mapyx quo stuff is cheap as chips. I think all told it cost me £20 to get all the UK nation parks at 1:50,000.

Will something like Where's the path not do the job?

Pretty sure that if you plot then export the gpx it gives you the totals in that file.

How about gmaps pedometer? It’s more aimed at runners and roadies than mountain bikers (only actual roads/paths can be followed automatically), but it does give elevation and distance.

There is also Bike Hike, which you can plot and save on.

    Free to use too.

‘Where’s the Path’ as mentioned above for creating & uploading routes & maybe GPSies for downloading analysing?
