    Can anyone recommend the best roof mounted carrier to take a modern carbon fibre full suss framed bike. My son just bought a Cube Stereo 150 29er in size XL and it does not fit very securely in his existing Altera Giro as the down tube is quite big.

    Are the Thule racks bigger in the clamping area?

    Yakima front loader. Grabs the wheels not the frame. Happens to be a really good rack too.

    Thule 599 Upride is the other obvious answer. Same principle as the Yakima.
