    Help.

The lever basically hangs and flays around when riding. The axle is screwed securely in place/no probs. Every so often I’ll tighten the allen key bolt in the centre to nip it up- but after a while the lever loses all tension again.

Any fixes before the lever off?

I think you need the lever to give some resistance to get the maxle collar to expand and grab the end of the leg (the collar has a slot in it allow it to expand).

Yeah normally tightening/loosening the grub screw does the trick.

Dunno why it keeps coming loose for you.

They’re shit at staying tight, simple as that. It must be because they dropped the opposing end nut off the Maxle as the Maxle I had on the Pikes was rock-solid.

Mine has done the same since new (bought 18m ago). Once tightened, close the lever so it’s in front of the fork-leg so it can’t move back.

    Works for me.

Take it apart, apply thread lock to the offending thread. Jobs a goodun for a while.

Goodpoint will put the lever infront of the leg
