I ordered some northwave road shoes to try for size and they aren’t wide enough at the toe end.

Any other brands that would be wider? Looking to spend around £100-140

my nw winter boots are like that (snug !!). I’ve been using Spiuk
zs15 recently and they’re much roomier in the toe box. just need
to make sure you go up a size as they come up small ish.
The carbon soled ones are particularly nice and spares are really
    available.

I have Spiuk RS16s and I would NOT call them wide. In fact I have D width feet and chose them because most shoes come up too wide for me.

And yes you need to go a size up for Spiuk.

Bont seemed very wide, shimano never tighten enough for me.

order 5 or 6 pairs in your price range at the same time, compare them, or you will spend ages ordering and returning looking for a pair that fit

    Bont Vaypor
    very stiff wide-ish, go a size up (I’m a usually a 43 and wear a 44).
put them in the oven and re-mould them to fit your foot.

Specialized are wider than most, they fit my feet anyway. Bontrager fit me too.
Sidi do a wide fitting as do Shimano, both worth looking at. I’m told Lake come up wide as well thigh never tried them myself.
Fizik are narrow as are DMT.
Bont are odd, very strange fit and one I can never get on with.

Re. Shops, try your local big retailer, Evans, Cycle Surgery, Leisure Lakes, etc. they often have a few different makes to try.

I have wide feet, and Spesh fit me nicely, around the normal size for me, both SPD and road. I’m sorry to say this, but shoes are one area where I’d say get them from a shop, sizing is too hit and miss to buy shoes or expensive items of clothing online.

Oh I agree about going to a shop, I tried a few in Nottingham but was limited on time.

If these Spuik ones don’t fit then I’m gonna go to the nearest shop in a couple of weeks.

What are Rutland like for shoes?

Evans have a decent range – I find that the LBSs tend to have the other brands so a couple of well timed visits would do a lot

    Spesh work for me.

Leisure Lakes at Breaston have a good selection of shoes. As do Evans in the city centre.
