    I just heard an interview with one of his aides who praised him for his….

    Diplomacy, discernment and tact.

    We used to value and respect those traits.

    Very much my thoughts too. He was the very essence of a how I would hope a world statesman should behave and act. Some very obvious parallels can be made to the present day.
