Sod the wifebeater vest, this is how my mate rides kirroughtree when it’s warm, he does tend to get a few sneers and underhand looks from the padded up wannabe social climber riders wi their camalbaks stuffed full for every eventuality short of nuclear war, but he is of strong irish/ayrshire upbringing and has got a cracking grasp of language that soon sends them scurrying or at least backing away. He’s a better rider than 99% of the wannabe stormtroopers as well as having the sort of disposable income/lifestyle that we mortals can only dream off.
Wear what you want, when you want and if anyone judges you or passes negative comments on your attire then that should be taken as a sign to ignore them totally.Posted 4 years ago

Why the 10 year old Epic then 😉
Saw a bloke riding yesterday on the road wearing a tri suit, but wearing it topless with the top half billowing behind him. You could tell he thought he looked awesome, as I cyclist I thought he looked like a dick, god knows what the car drivers thought!Posted 4 years agosomafunkSubscriber
He doesn’t see the need for a new bike as the epic still functions as well as it did 9yrs ago and hasn’t broken yet, he also rides with a £5 helmet he bought in a charity shop, and his back tyre is one of my very old Panaracer Fire XC’s, i’m sure the shorts are entirely his own though 😉 .Posted 4 years agoKunstlerMember
I was thinking about a vest today, but so many trails are overgrown and with 750 bars my arms are going to get ripped to shreds! Maybe I should just mtfu
The scars will compliment the look. Or you go all out* and ride with just a headband and a bullet belt slung around your shoulder.
Can I just say STINGING NETTLES.
Currently getting stung on my shoulders through a long sleeve top.
You guys obviously don’t live near me.
Nettles to the shoulders? I wonder if you are a tiny cyclist, really getting down into the corners or local to Sellafield.
*An option. Take it to the max.Posted 4 years ago
