    Riding in the North Shore!

Pretty amazing stuff he’s doing with only one arm.
I’m liking the release mechanism too:

    No No No.
    He,s doing it all wrong.
He should have used a coil shock to compliment his forks 😉
    Just amazing that.

Overbiked. Why doesn’t he do all that on a rigid fixie?

Seriously though, that’s ace – love engineering stuff like that.

I wonder what pressure and tune that shock runs? TFTuned would have a field day with that!

    Ace stuff!

I know this is total wrong but all I could think when watching that was wow that is cool but why oh why hasn’t he mounted it horazontally rather than vertically as it seems to push him off centre on the bike.

Raced XC in the US when I lived there years ago (late 90s in very rocky technical Pa and NJ) and a regular in my cat had a similar home made prosthetic arm with a shock. Normally seen lapping me 8) 😳

    Hmmm… SPDs or flats?

There’s a guy who races in the SouthernXCs with a prosthetic arm. Don’t know who he is but he’s not last!

This guy, Jon Butterworth, is a world paracycling sprint champion and multiple world record holder. Sponsored by my LBS for bike stuff. Apparently his arms (he has different ones for different disciplines) are sponsored by a specialist prosthetics manufacturer which uses him a guinea pig for new tech.
