I have made the decision to skip my usual summer trip to Verbier and the Cristalp, basically the tanking pound, 1.55 and dropping is going to make it insanely expensive, if by some miracle it returns to normality i might go for a late booking.

So am after a few ideas for rides in the UK that are worth doing. Just have to hope that the weather is better than the last couple of years or i can see me becoming a roadie.

7Stanes in Dumfries & Galloway

Do a tour of Scotland and hit the 7stanes for a few days and then head north and ride Laggan Wolftrax, Moray Monster Trails, Lochgilphead Fire Tower Trails, Fort Bill and Nevis Red route.

If you want something a bit different then check out some of the islands for great trails on Skye, N.Harris and some goat tracks on Arran.

Call it the grand tour of Scotland
Go home and tell everyone how epic it was and never go to Switzerland again, instead choose dreich, windy Scotland as the better alternative!
