I’ve recently bought a new Canyon AM and also built up a Giant xtc frame with the bits off my old bike. My old 2004 talas (85-125mm) forks feel awful compared to the new 120-150mm ones so what should I be looking to replace them with? I’ve ridden on rs revelations (2008ish) and tora’s (upper spec ones) in the past and didn’t go back to my old bike noticing a problem, though the springs were a bit soft for my weight. The only thing I can remeber thinking was a lot better in the past was a pair of fox 32 qr15’s 150mm on a Meta 5 that I test rode.

I’d prefer to stick with quick release so I don’t need to buy a new wheel, IS for the brake and the budget is around £250, second hand is fine, probably essential.

My mate runs Argyle 140s turned down to 120. They are initially very plush, but then ramp up. Proper strong and light.

    Just a thought
