The Autoexpress headlight bulb test is generally won by the latest Philips upgrade bulbs. The current ones are Racing Vision, but they don’t, apparently, last as long as slightly less swanky bulbs.

If you’re a lawless rebel with money to burn, the Philips LED H4 seems to get stellar reviews, but is technically not road legal, though apparently it has the same beam pattern as a halogen in the same housing, just significantly brighter. I think someone posted about the T6 base headlight recently and the consensus seemed to be that they were poor.
