Mrs BigJohn bust the screen on her Nikon Coolpix S630. It looks like a spiders web and doesn’t come on at all.

I’ve seen replacements on eBay for screen & backlight for about £14 from Hong Kong.

Are these any good, are they easy(ish) to fit and are there any better alternatives?

I got one for my Sony DSLR and not had any issues with it.

Mate replaced one on a compact camera he had and it worked, but wasn’t as good as the original.

I think for the cost it’s worth a shot…but don’t expect it to be as good as the original.

Anything’s going to be better than the original at the moment.

bought a replacement screen for our Fuji f100fd from some chap in HK after my dog chewed the camera. He’d advertised a similar one for another model, so I asked him about the one for my camera and he posted me one off.

Easy to fit, works like a charm.
