    Needs moar leverages.

Personally I use a tyre lever

18mm or similar open ended spanner. That’s what I’ve used before.

Large open ended spanner (about 19mm), one jaw hooked under the seal, handle on the other side of the seal, and lever it up.

Yep – open ended spanner – carefully!

Champion job – 19mm spanner did the job. Damn RockShox youtube video made it look soooooooo freaking easy. Didnt realise how much effort was needed!

I’ve always got on with the old 17mm (or any one around that size) ring spanner and changed the position, moving it around slowly and edging it out…eventually it comes out. I’d probably remove the spring before doing this too (just roll it up over the lip of the seal.

    Hope it helps 🙂

    Arrrr, job done…nice one.

    Any suggestions?

    Thanks
