- Remember when F1 cars looked good…
I always loved the FW14b not least because it was a brilliant piece of engineering
What pisses me off about these ugly f1 cars due to the rules is that any of the designers in the grid could have said that that’s the likely consequence of the rules. Ask they had to do was mandate a minimum width of the nose along with the minimum area.Posted 4 years agorickmeisterSubscriber
The collection at Williams HQ is quite staggering if you ever get the chance.Posted 4 years agoskiboyMember
The formula is making a quantum leap engine wise but I think the cars will still look pretty much as they have in the last few seasons,
The aero package shouldn’t change that much as it’s more a case of optimizing the current thinking.thats just my opinion though.
It’s the fuel that’s the key from now on.
I really genuinely think that the new engine technology is going to make a difference. One which will filter down into common use an give us massive engine power from small amounts of fuel.Posted 4 years ago
Some real beautiful cars above.

I personally think they should impose wing/aerofoil restrictions in such a way that the convoluted mess as per Autosport’s diagram is basically ruled out. I know the top teams always find ways to bend the rules but perhaps it might give the lower rank teams a bit more of a helping hand.Posted 4 years ago
