Firstly belated thanks to all who took part in the initial consultation on use of Norland Moor, MTBr’s made up 53% of all responses and that level of representation seems to have made an impact with the council considering granting permissive access.
There’s a live online consultation taking place right now and up until 7 this evening – A bunch of proposals to vote on and a chance to comment/ask questions…If you’re interested at all please check it out!

(From the council’s Cycle Hub page on Facebook:) “The Mountain Bike Community provided a strong voice for the future use of cycling on Norland Moor at a meeting yesterday to discuss the welfare and future use of the moor. Nearly a 1000 people responded to Calderdale Council survey with over 50% of the responses coming from the cycling community.
Due to the huge volume of response focus groups have been invitation only. With this in mind, the council are offering an on-line discussion which will be live from 13:00 to 19:00 on Thursday 19th November, and can be accessed by following this link:-”
