- Regarding Death certificates
YesPosted 3 years ago
The details contained on a death certificate include: •Name, date and place of death.
•Date and place of birth (before 1969 a certificate only showed age of deceased).
•Occupation and usual address.
•Cause of death.
•The person who gave information for the death registration.Rubber_BuccaneerSubscriber
Would it be a ‘Quincey’ type of thing where they go into cause of death
If you want detail you may be disappointed. It will give the cause and maybe a contributory factor but as an example someone who died of HIV may mot have that as the cause of death it will say what actually got them, maybe pneumonia.Posted 3 years agokcalSubscriber
yes. Not in detail (old age and stuff quite common) but I did a bit of research in my family history (on mum’s side, dad’s was well covered through other relatives).
One seemed to have ‘fallen out of a window’ :0!Posted 3 years ago
another was ‘hit by a train on level crossing’ (this was in 1860s so probably little safety features)
