It seems a waste to just chuck them. Is there a way to recycle or reuse them?

Unless they’re shagged, just offer them on here pickup only. Otherwise local tip in the tyre bit.

Yep, shagged I’m afraid- the bead has torn loose from the carcass

I’ve used them as chain stay wrap before or cut rubber packers for bike racks or similar from them.

Beyond that not too much I can think of.

    I think I’ll try and make a belt…

Thanks for the tip, Convert, I am currently on my way to acquiring a nice new belt. 10/10 for having an appropriate user name also 😉

I made a belt from an old MTB tyre years ago… It was crap.

Might have another go with an old road one just for fun… Less knobbles might actually work…

They’re not bad in tension, You could maybe make some luggage straps… Or a sex swing?

    Yep, it’s a road tyre (STW, obvs! 😉 )

Hmmm, sex swing…I’ll see what the missus thinks lol (she’s new so it’ll either go very well or very badly)
