From the Surrey Police Facebook page (also Elmbridge Police), but I guess may not be from London/Surrey – turquoise (?) with Fox 34s, image in fb link but not dissimilar to https://enduro-mtb.com/en/back-issue-tested-yeti-sb5c/

    Is This Your Bike?

We are searching for the owner of this turquoise Yeti SB5c mountain bike, which was located at an address in Egham on Friday (18 June).

The occupant had listed the bikes for sale on eBay, having bought them from a market late last year. He was not arrested.

We are making enquiries with the believed owner of the second bike, but we need your help to reunite this distinctive, specialist mountain bike with its rightful owner.

Is this Yeti SB5c your bike? Can you provide us with proof of ownership, such as a receipt and serial number?

If you recognise this bike or can help us trace its owner, we want to hear from you. Please contact us, quoting PR/45210064074 via:

I’m amazed the seller hasn’t been arrested. He “bought” the bikes, plural, late last year from a “market” clearly hasn’t used the Yeti and is now selling them. Sounds to me like he waited what he thought was enough time for the dust to settle before selling property known to be stolen.

Yeah. I’m sure the police know that, hence their mealy-mouthed statement. I guess they can’t prosecute without firmer evidence? At least they’ve recovered the bikes and hopefully left the seller out of pocket. Scum.

Surely it would have been reported when it was stolen.
Even if it’s not local wouldn’t a quick search on their database show it up? It’s not like its a Carrera.
