It’s the inside of my right knee. It’s better, then it’s not (repeat).

    Ideally Manchester/NWest

Tim Deykin at Sportmed in Stockport. He’s really good. I’ve been to him for various things and so have a lot of people in our cycling club. He does a lot of sport himself.

I can’t recommend a physio, but I’ve had the same, for me it’s mainly due to hips being too inflexible. Also caused by insufficient arch support and foot collapsing inwards

I dunno the answer to this Mark but are you not entitled to treatment at from the occ health at Sedgeley? Especially if it affects you at work? They really are very good indeed. Might be worth a call?

Had 6 months of bother with my knee, went to physio for 6 weeks, same as you, would get better then kept breaking down…..

Got recommended a knee specialist (surgeon) who I got referred to privately by my GP. he spent a good 30 minutes moving me around and diagnosed a meniscus tear, gave me an X-ray to make sure it wasn’t arthritis, which it wasn’t.

Got an op on it last Friday, feels wicked. Played 18 holes on Wednesday on one of the hilliest courses in the country, had a wee spin on the cx bike last night.

Best to see a physio, in case you are different. When it flares up badly I pay a physio who loosens up hip via acupuncture and manipulation. Always thought acupuncture was rubbish but a combination of that an manipulation and I go form not being able to pedal to being able to do proper hard efforts.
Otherwise glute strengthening exercises, and these Vast is medialis exercise plus lots of foam rolling and general stretching of quads, hamstrings, glutes and hip flexors

Right I’ll tinkle OCC, do the exercises (a few years back a Osteopath told me the right glut of the knee leg was overly tight around the hip (the hip felt it) and after exercises it went away. So it makes sense- cheers. 🙂

for temporary relief get some Voltarol . Fisiocrem also seems to help a lot despite having only herbal ingredients . had medial ( inner) knee pain a few yrs now ( diagnosed at arthritis) getting much better now with quad exercises to stabilize the knee + icing when sore + the 2 creams mentioned above .
also bought an Actipatch ( well a trial pack for a £5er) to try when bad ..not tried yet be interesting to see if it works
