Doesn’t cost the earth in ink refills (ala old skool Lexmark printers ). Or one that has non oem ink cartridges available . An all-in-one with scanner would be good but not essential .

Ended up with the HP Envy 4500, works simply, ink resonable.

Canon MG series printer around £70, great print results and PC Pro A lister year after year. Frugal on ink cartridges that are cheap to replace too. Plenty of features such as wireless printing including AirPrint and Google print. Wireless scanning direct to device or cloud storage including Evernote and Dropbox. Not sure what else you could want out of a printer.
