    As the title,

Would be looking at 120mm+ fork ,
    Full suss,
    Not spech, giant or trek.

I like the gyro but need some others to test!

Look at the Niner RIP 9. I really like mine as a great all round trail bike. 120 at the back and either 120 or 140 at the front. I’d have a look at the Salsa Horsethief too, but bear in mind that the Specialized Camber is about as good an all round 29er trail bike as you can get if you can see past the label.

you could build a transition bandit for £3k

Or if you can wait, the new Foes Shaver will be along by the end of the year, and should come with 150mm fox floats.

If you could actualy buy a Bandit 29 frame. 😆

Get a test ride on a Tallboy LT.

18 Bikes have got a Bandit 29er frame in stock.

Definitely worth trying a Tallboy too. Mine has 120mm forks and is probably the best bike i’ve ever ridden.

Norco Shinobi 1 from Evans £2800, Fox 34 140mm fork, X0 carbon cranks and rear mech. Great value for money and I love my Shinobi 2 and would have got a 1 but it was still £3200 when I bought mine

    There’s a few demo Bandit 29ers about.
No large frames to buy though.
The 2013 Bandit 29 should be out soon.
Though i believe it’s now got a steeper head angle and a bit less travel.

OP was it you asking about going from 26 to 29?

If so I’d not be spending £3K on my first 29er on the advice of internet strangers.

ya that was me, in just trying to find out and learn about this new platform. so just asking questions and learning.

still firmly in the 26 camp at the min. I want and am saving for a pivot mach 5.7 carbon. but I can easily see me selling the crush and getting a 29 hardtail as a second bike.

@crush83 – you want us to recommend you a bike you cannot buy for 6 months ? My advice is wait and see what releases there are for 2013, and stop wasting our time.

Hey, give the guy a break. The researching, the deliberating, and the demo rides are all part of the process of buying your dream bike.

Ok, fair enough, a bit harsh.

Wait and see what spec 2013 bikes are and see if you can buy a discounted 2012 model (probably very unlikely)
