So, with our budget of £22,000,000 was planning on a small erection in our back garden….
I’m worried our current brickie (Rusty-Trowel) is taking us for a ride?
Here’s his progress after 6 days. His “tea to brick ratio” is dangerously high, BTW.
And after another 4 days, he appears to have laid very few extra bricks.
I had a stern word, and he’s picked up the pace a bit – this is now after 14 days of work..
I told him to get on with the flooring – 67 thousand tonnes of concrete:
He’s finally built a corner, but TBH I’m not sure on the draft proof-ness of it all – opinions?
TBH I’m concerned I’m being take for a ride.
Should I call it all off, demolish, and start again??
Can’t quite see from the picture but are those corners quarter bonded. Also the brickie only has 3 finger and a thumb on each hand and looks like a bit of a meany. Just sayin like.
You’re leaving yourself open to heartache and future damp problems with that method of construction. I’ve had these guys in and am very pleased with the results.
I thought i’d seen him before but I couldn’t put my finger on where then Jamie’s photo brought it call back. He asked for 50k up front gutted my house and left me with nothing. Steer well clear!
The last laborer involved in the project was only two, and to be honest was a liability on site. Walls knocked down without warning, the tipper was driven without care or attention, and he clearly wasn’t COSHH trained…..
