If I am Racing in British cycling insured event, am I cover if I have a accident or do I need race insurance to cover me for that?

    For what?

You get 3rd party liability insurance, so if you crash into and injure a spectator, you’re insured. No personal injury insurance or equipment insurance though.

If you race in a BC event, you will either need BC membership of some type + race license and/or to pay for temporary membership/race license on the day. This will include 3rd party insurance for you against causing injury/damages to someone else.

Any organiser of an event will need 3rd party liability insurance for the event, in case they are sued – but this is different to the insurance you will be sold as part of your entry fee if required.
