Thought I had better do a quick lower leg service today after a particularly muddy month’s riding. Just a lower leg re-lube. I followed a guide online.

It mentions foam washers below the top grey seal, I cant find anything like that. Below the grey wiper seal there is another black seal… no foams that I could see. (in the failing light in the garden).

Is it possible that here are no foams fitted? Or did I just miss them. Any advice (other than burning them etc.)

Mine didn’t have foams either, just 2 sets of seals

Mate opened his up the other day and had same thoughts, he rang tft and they said its normal

normal i rang tft on thursday past and he said just oil and wiper seals.

Thanks for that, was scratching my head looking for them.

Whats the procedure for relubing then? Grease the wiper seals and add the oil to the lower legs – finished?

Or should I wipe some float fluid around below the wiper seal?

i just wiped seals in the 15w oil put legs in turned upside down then filled lowers with a syringe.
