I currently use Shimano MT51s for commuting/slobbing round the office/site work. Functionally they fit the bill pretty well, bar one thing – they absorb water like a sponge and once they get wet they take 2 or 3 days to dry off, even when stuffed with newspaper overnight. I actually get dryer feet by wearing my meshy race shoes in the rain. Seal skins don’t help as they just soak through too when surrounded by sopping shoe.

So what similar shoe dries quickly? They need to be trainer/walking shoe style and predominately black.

    Thanks!

Oh and if they’re getting wet from commuting, try overshoes.

These are good, its classed as a spinning shoe but its light, well ventilated, comfy and stiff, I use them offroad myself but they might fit the bill. (yes they dry fast)
