A statue gets erected here every morning in honour of Mrs.C’s hotness.

    Alternatively, Buddah.

anywhere in the world? I would think that the winner would be someone/somewhere in the UK or Europe in general, but could also be in Latin America I suppose.

Yeah anywhere in the world, let’s keep religious figures out of this because the jury’s out on all of them.

    An American president (Lincoln)?

Forgotten soldier (but that’s a cheat)

Probably not old Abe—don’t think he would come close to others mentioned, i.e. Queen Victoria, Mao, etc. Once one gets away from the eastern seaboard, statues of anyone out here in the hinterlands are kind of sparse

Buddha was definitely real, this is not contested.

Thats an allegorical figure though – Michealangelo never met the biblical David, its a sculpture that evokes the story, not a likeness of the individual.

As actual sculptural likenesses of people alive or dead – then faces on coins will have been reproduced more than most other 3d likenesses. Lincoln is still on the america Cent, so being a low denomination and a long innings that would be a high scorer. The queen appears on all these currencies though

    Australia
    Bahamas
    Belize
    Bermuda
    British Caribbean Territories
    British Honduras
    Canada
    Cayman Islands
    Ceylon
    Cyprus
    East African Currency Board
    East Caribbean States
    Falkland Islands
    Fiji
    Gibraltar
    Great Britain (Bank of England)
    Guernsey
    Hong Kong
    Isle of Man
    Jamaica
    Jersey
    Malaya and North Borneo
    Malta
    Mauritius
    New Zealand
    Rhodesia and Nyasaland
    Rhodesia
    Saint Helena
    Scotland (Royal Bank of Scotland)
    Seychelles
    Solomon Islands
    Southern Rhodesia
    Trinidad and Tobago
    Zambia

However there are rather a lot of status erected in honour of Ist Baron Isaac Leslie Hore-Belisha, but they are maybe a bit too moderne for many people’s tastes 🙂

CaptJon – I’m suspicious whether your picture shows all the same person. I can see a couple of guys who appear to be different. Specially the ones with four legs.
