Has anyone tried using a 140mm rotor with their Niner Carbon forks?
I know they were designed for 160s (to 185) so wondered if it’s physically possible for a 140 to work…

There is no minus 20 adapter. And why would you want to?

That would be minus 10 surely?

An Avid caliper mounted without the 3D washers will get you down to the 150 range, assuming it doesn’t hit the fork leg.

160 is the diameter. Your moving the mounting point of the brake calliper in relation to the centre point of the disc. So you’re talking about the radius. Radius of 160 is 80, radius of 140 is 70, 80-70=10.

It is a PM 160 mount… how do you plan to use a 140 rotor…. and why? Can’t see this being possible and even if by some bodge it is then I can see it being an even worse idea 😀

I may have to machine up a -10 adaptor 😉

    As I expected, cheers.

Just file down the PM mount on the fork what could go wrong!
