Anyone placed a bet that their child will win olympic gold, score an FA cup final goal or be the first person on Mars.

A friend has been in to the local Ladbrokes to place a bet on his daughter, but the bod behind the desk wasn’t much help.

Any ideas

Give the money to me. I’ll pay up if they win, honest.

They’ll have a department for special bets, but I think the counter staff should have known that (they can’t just offer you odds)
