Radar also indicates the speed of the approaching vehicles.
Very late adopter here, bought when my Tracer started to play up after years. Wouldn’t go back.

Arrived today, lightweight, fit fine in length, pretty much standard for the size, maybe slightly longer, but the width is nowhere near wide enough for my duck feet. They will be posted back tomorrow.

Thanks for that alanl. Did you order one of the wider sizes or was that for the standard width?

Lightweight/packable shoes for your bikepacking trips has been an occasional request.

    https://www.craghoppers.com/mens-locke-packaway-shoes-cloud-grey/

Bargain at £25.50 and lots of sizes available.

ordered these and a random bag for storing a fake Christmas tree arrived instead. Just hope it’s a mistake rather than a scam..

I purchased a pair of these a few years ago after a PSA on here, they have been great for the winter and at that price, an absolute bargain!

Just got my pair. Crikey they feel warm! Not sure it’s ever going to be cold enough for a walk in them!

I got some for my dad but we are both size 9 and I ordered a 9. I have slightly wider than average feet and these are snug in a good way a thick sock would work for me but only just.

they were the boot in the original link and it says medium fit on the box.

I am rather hoping they are too tight for my dad ?

It says wide on the box, and 2E on the order form.

Aye, they’re for standing around at, say, cross races for a few hours (or fixing your fence yesterday in my case)

I bought some 47 / 11 Vasques and I’m normally an 11 and a 47 in Shimano. I’d say snug but fine with normal socks. With thicker walking socks then no. I also bought a 48 and this was just marginally too big.

Vasque boots look really nice, impressively light (they’re just trainers that look like boots and have a vibram sole really)

Seemed to fit well in the living room, feel slightly tight on first walk and had a mild hot spot on one foot.

Perhaps they’ll be fine with normal socks rather than thick ones though

Hope so anyway. CBA to buy another pair .5 size up

Turkey crowns mis-priced at Morrisons Wood Green.  Should be about £15 each – some are priced at £5 odd. My 3 came to £16.18  – scanned my Morrisons card and it went down by £2.70 as a multi buy. Be quick  – only 20 or so left at that price at the moment.

Thought this was worth sharing – I’ve been looking at (and thus my algorithm based targets advertising has been bombarding me with) these small portable power stations for a while, reading reviews etc. Theres tonnes – Jackery, Bluetti, Aferiy etc etc.

Wanted a cheaper and more transferable (I tend to change vehicles often!) alternative to putting a leisure battery into the van I finally bought this year. We usually use hook up when camping, but this will be useful for the odd one-nighter, using in the garden, taking out to the beach/forest for the day or evening, and also as a backup for the basics in the event of an outage at home. We havent been affected for years but its not unheard of these days!

Mainly, it will allow me to charge my new e-bike – this one being big enough to charge my 320wh battery, with losses, plus a chunk left over for some lighting and a phone/garmin charge. Perfect for doing the odd race or event next year.

Not a huge capacity compared to the big £XXXX products, but most are hovering around £300 for their 512wh versions, so 576wh for £275, is about the best £/wh ratio I’ve seen so far.

Factory refurbished, ill reserve final judgement till it arrives but experiences tell me it usually means its just had the box opened.

Tektro Gemini 4-pot brake set inc 2 x 180mm 6-bolt Magura Storm HS 2.0mm rotors for £65 at Merlin

I’ve got TRP Slate EVOs on two bikes and heard these Tektros are similar but not quite as outright power. Seems a good price for a complete brake setup.

And similar to @snotrag above, I was half-looking at portable power station things for camping off-grid. Haven’t taken the plunge (yet) but this also looked a good deal. Bluetti 716wh for £312: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/296656910857 from their official refurb page on eBay.
