Needed a set for the new Stooge- thanks.
Don’t these need a new funny BB, or will my old SLX BB work?

    Cheers OP.

will my old SLX BB work?

    It will.

You may get a new one in the box anyway though, even if listing says not.

Could these be used with a PF92 Bottom bracket for a trek remedy .?Also rear wheel is Boost spacing if that makes any difference. Thanks in advance.

    Even cheaper for me then!
Second hand prices of cranks stay pretty high.
Heel rubbed SLX/XT previous gen ones are over £50, so this is a no brainer.

There are quite a few cheap cranks there including Deore and SLX. Anyone seen some 170mm boost M8000?

Cheers for that shame they have no SLX rear mechs or shifter

Damn will they be ok with a boost rear hub says 142!!!

I run a none boost crank with a boost hub- general consensus is that the chainline is fine, it’s more the chainring clearance. If you can squeeze the 32t in, you’ll be fine.

PSA: race face turbine for £100 on wiggle /crc, non boost and only comes with a 28T chain ring..
    otherwise i’d have had one

There were some SLX cassettes very cheap on Ribble last night (11-46), but I’m guessing they’ve gone now.

@postierich – ya bastard 🙂 I had it in my basket but was in a meeting so when I went to checkout I was told they’d run out of BBs 🙁

Aaaaand, were off! first component bought for the HT build…

Those of you looking at the turbine the non boost is fine for boost. The difference is in the ring so sell the ring and buy a boost one.

Great spot. Given the chainring alone seems to sell for over £30 that price for the whole chainset was hard to ignore so I’ve bought one.
    Shifters going cheap too…

Yep, crank without ring on the same site is £61.93, so a chainring for 18p.

Other than length are all the m8000 cranks the same? As in boost and non boost? Its the offset made by the ring or are they actually different q factor?

Some bargains on the 2x ones to be had if all you need to do is swap the chainring out for a single boost one?

Code jan50 saves another 50% on some lines (not Shimano though). DT swiss m1900 wheelset for around £100 any good to anyone.

Darn, yeah back up at £120.

Grabbed a 105 5800 chainset for £49 from Ribble though, spot on!

Mine arrived and fitted this evening. Man logic dictated that this was a better use of money than buying a powerspline BB for the existing SRAM cranks 😀
