    For all you lovers of knives and other stabby things there is a great documentary on a family that makes samurai swords on bbc iplayer,very interesting.

    Truly Fascinating, no automation, no power tools, handling chunks of white hot metal, whilst wearing what looks like cotton pyjamas and flip flops. H+S would have had kittens.
    No doubt made to order, wonder what they go for ??

    Spent a good hour afterwards reading up on swordsmithing

    My great uncle had a wakisashi that he’d nicked off someone in the war, it didn’t look like much but it cut like a razor even though it hadn’t been sharpened since the 1940s. Wonder what happened to it, I don’t remember it being in his estate when he died.

    They sell maybe 3 in a good year

    Rest of the time they make kitchen knives…..
    Bet they are damn good ones though ……
