The queue for Markeaton island tonight began at Burton on Trent – though turning onto the A50/A6 option was strangely traffic free.

Got held up at Uttoxeter at lunchtime on the A50 – couple of people had misjudged the few inches of water approaching the McDs roundabout. The back roads over to Abbots Bromley and Burton were intersting in places.

Our rain gauge had 45mm in it tonight, having been emptied at 7am today.
