    I want to buy Mad Men series 1 in blu ray to play on my PS3. Amazon have it as a US import, in region 1. Is my standard UK PS3 region free?

    I think the UK ps3 will play all games, but are region locked for the Blu Ray movies I am afraid.

    Please correct me if I am wrong.

    I was under the impression you could change it a couple of times, but had like two or three chances before it locked to the last selected region?

    But, feel free to shoot me if I’m wrong, I’ve not risked it TBH.

    I too wanted to know this before I bought or asked santa to get it for me for xmas. Apparently according to movietyme its region free.

    There are a lot of films that are encoded as regions a, b and c and will therefore play on any blurayer. Spiderman and Rambo Trilogies both region free. Disney and 20th Century Fox discs are not.

    UK = B.
    USA = A.
    Rest of World=C (thats a guess)

    Given that Sony are the diabolical über-fannies of the DRM world, I'd be surprised if they let you watch region-free discs.
