My 6-year-old lad is aware I used to race BMX so often asks about it; I got him a mini race bike and took him down the local track – there were some “big boys” from his school so he got a bit self conscious but they were really great and encouraged him. He was so proud of himself but I was a lot prouder – in the bigger boys words – ‘kin ‘ell he’s a natural..!
