Couldn’t see a thread on this years day of “it’s all a bit meh really”?

Anyone found anything good so far? Think I’ll pick up a Kindle Fire for jnr, so probably the first time I’ve been able to put Prime Day to good use

Some Sennheiser headphones HD599 that I needed to buy soon are 1/2 price so I did , replacing an obsolete model that I have owned for 20 years so a bit tired.

‘Apparently’ PornHub – whatever that is – has links to Amazon Prime’s hottest sex toys on Prime Day. Allegedly.

There’s good deals on Tado stuff (thermostat starter kits and radiator valve 4 packs).

..but basically far too much to actually wade through to find the gems.

    Gerber multi tool for £22.07

worth remembering that Gerber / Fiskars warrantee is amazing – can’t remember if its 20 or 30 years or something daft even on fairly cheap tools. I sent them an email asking if I could buy a replacement screwdriver bit on a Suspension that I’d bought 5 years previously for £20 – because I’d chipped the corner of mine – they insisting on just replacing the whole thing.

Almost bought a second Fire TV stick in anticipation of us buying another telly, probably need to buy a new telly first though…

Annoyingly I had bought a second echo dot a couple of weeks ago for BBQ music duties this summer, “discounted” to £25… yesterday it was £22. three whole pounds of saving missed, Grrr!

Honestly it’s mostly only worth it for Amazon’s own products (fireTV, echo, tablets, etc…) other stuff is generally a bit “Meh” as you said OP, anything I might have actually bought has probably stayed the same or even gone up in price so I’ll leave it.

I know some people get all wound up ready and waiting with stuff they want already sat in their baskets hoping for discounts so at midnight they can click ‘buy’. It’s like they haven’t spotted it happens all over again in November.

    A word to the wise,

If you see a “bargain,” it’s worth checking the regular price. I’ve been waiting for a particular board game to come up in the Lightning Sale, it’s £25 on Amazon and ~£20 elsewhere. It’s just dropped on Lightning… at £36, eleven quid more expensive than their regular price.

Yeah most of the pricing on Amazon is just a shambles/scam (and I’m guessing Amazon are either complicit or don’t care enough to take action). It’s rarely the cheapest and 99% of the discounts stated are fabricated/manipulated (they make DFS’s 360 day-a-year sales look reputable…). If only it wasn’t so damn convenient to get tat at the click of the button 🙁

Fire Sticks are usually a good deal, but then again they discount them the same throughout the year. Likewise everything else. The few things I see that I might be interested in, I then spend ages trying to find out how much it normally is in sales anyway and then realise Prime Day isn’t a big deal and decide I don’t really need that now.

Garmin 820 is tempting, but I have a perfectly okay working Garmin 510. Okay it doesn’t have the maps for navigation, but I like navigating myself with a bit of sense of direction and occasionally checking old school maps (okay on a phone) just to see where I am and want to go. Then use my eyes, follow the trail and observe things so I remember where I am next time. Seen plenty trying to follow off road navigation on a Garmin and constantly having to make corrections and stopping to check the route rather than ride the trail, wherever it goes.

I do this a lot with gadget stuff. Things that would be cool and make life easier but I talk myself out of it because I can do it myself 😀

I did just pick myself an Edge 820. In addition to yesterday’s Vivoactive 3. I’m a Garmin whore.

A great tip, except I just signed up to the free trial and haven’t been credited with a tenner. 🙁

Add something to your basket to see the £10 credit be deducted. It doesn’t work on everything though

I got the Gerber Suspension on sale at Amazon too. Looks very similar to the Evo there. Real good quality tool for the price.

Worx Hydroshot portable pressure washer is under £100, cheapest it’s been on Amazon.

I picked up one of those hydro shots based on reviews here, it’s preety useless tbh for anything other than fresh mud on a bike I was hoping to wash the car with it rather than lug around a full size pressure washer but it’s not up for the job

Weird, I’ve found mine great for both jobs (and way better than my old mobi washer). OK, it’s not as strong as a cabled power washer, but that’s not necessarily a bad thing! Are you using the full-length lance as that makes a lot of difference to the pressure..

Was looking at Aftershockz Air headphones this morning £99 no sign of them on the deals.

Went back tonight just to look and they’re down to £69 and now heading my way!

Looking forward to trying them out.
